I just watched the movie, Push and everyone that posses ability (power) has an -er behind the type of ability they possess. Someone with the ability to move things telekinesis-ly is known as Mover, someone with the ability to ‘watch’ into the future is known as Watcher, etc.
There’s this particular group call the Pusher, which reminds me a lot of Matt Parkman from Heroes. They have the ability to Push thoughts into others, even though they lack Parkman’s mind-reading ability, they still kick-ass.
Well, Updater is here to do an Update on his blog. Hope everyone is still watching closely for Updates.
First I had some people asking me, how’s my FYP. What did I do? Is it good? Well, I have to say that even though my design can still be improved, I am quite satisfied with the scope and overall quality of my project. Its a pity that I never film down the installation when people is playing with it but if you like, here’s the link to my Installation manual.
I am also quite happy that both my Project 4 (bicycle simulation system) and FYP (multi-touch mirror) installation are being used for our Diploma Show. To make it possible for my FYP interface to be on the Diploma Show, I also went back to school to help complete the multi-touch table my lecturers were building previously.
All these new technologies is truly amazing and I am glad to be one of the pioneer to explore new form of human-computer interaction (aka surface/physical computing). There will also be a lot of opportunities in this field as more and more people wanted to jump into bandwagon and there will be more and more demand for such designer/programmer. Recently I was referred by lecturers and got hold of such amazing opportunity. The company seek my expertise and I seek their experience in commercializing and packaging the technology, it was indeed a perfect match. Not to mention the project fee is also not bad for a fresh graduate like myself.

My last school day.

I will keep this post short and picture-less (Im lazy) since tomorrow will be my big day. Most important day of the 3 years in Temasek Polytechnic. My final year project presentation. Last official school day (not including the time we need to come back for Diploma Show and Graduation Day). I will have lunch again at the Western Food store at TP Design School one last time.
Let’s see what Im going to do in the future. No school = More time.
Here’s what Im planning. More QT. More Violin practicing. More exercising. Resume Internet Business. Learn Cocoa Touch and create my first iPhone application. Pass Napfa (save 3 mths of BMT). Enjoy life. Write more blog posts.
All this plan is only short term. Very soon, I will be entering NS and spend my 2 years of youth there =D
After that, my plans were to… too early to tell. Not sure if I wan to work, or to go for further studies or to stay at home shake leg… why worry, 2 years in army to think… ciao… back to preparation of FYP presentation

Internet Marketing on Fire

I’m suppose to be doing my FYP now… but heck! Since I’ve already procrastinate the whole morning, a post won’t hurt. In a few months time, I may not get the opportunity to blog as often as I will be doing the duty of every fit Singapore male, NS!!!
So this time round, I will talk about Internet Marketing(which alot of people seem interested to know) and especially, what I’ve being doing with this e-business of mine.
A month ago, I’m still using Google Adwords to drive traffic to my many “money page” like this one http://top.expert-choice.com/WoW/. You see, just that simple page alone is responsible for my income of avg. US$50 per day(so now you know). I’m showing you this and not worry that it might damage my business because, starting from this month. I stopped all my Adwords campaign and turning 100% to free traffic. 100% profit. $0* investment. (*except for buying domains).
The disadvantage of free method (mainly SEO) is that, the result is really unpredictable. It take knowledge, experienced(alot more than Adwords), to get even any money at all.
To make money, you need to dominate the ‘money’ keywords on the search engine. Very much like the time I dominate the search engine on the keyword term, “coolest person on the planet”. Its not simple. Till now, I haven’t really build sustainable income.
This is one of the website that I build(which is a complete failure) during FYP 1st presentation day. Ha-ha. http://www.iphone.buyrefurbished.net/ profiting from eBay. I made a few sales but realized I lose out on alot about 90% of the profit since I wasn’t accepted to the eBay US affiliate program.
So I ditch that eBay affiliate program altogether and start focusing on other niches… and trying very hard to also focus on FYP =P (and on my physical fitness, and on my spiritual well-being) Am I busy or am I very busy!!??
Let’s talk about domains. Some of my friends bought domain at extreme high price! Please… domain only cost US$7.95-$9.99 per year at GoDaddy. Recently I purchase another 6 domains to play around with. One of which is for my mom, susan-goh.com, which Im building for my mom.
Having your own domain is really cool! Especially as a blogger. You can install the world most ‘advance’ blog system into your domain which you have 101% control of it.
What is it? It is Wordpress! Wordpress is a widely used blog system and there are thousands upon thousands plugins you can use with it. (That’s another one of my secret arsenal of my Internet Business btw).
I recently installed and tested a plugin(which I wanted to use for my Internet business) Called the MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate. It can cloak your link, manage it and more with a simple click of a button(a few to be exact)
